Park Information

The Oxbow Eco-Center is an environmental learning center located on a 225-acre preserve on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. Oxbow Eco-Center offers 3 ½ miles of hiking trails and is where young and old alike can discover the mysterious and hidden life of the forest and river. The center offers guided hikes and educational programs for families, children and adults.

Trails: 3 ½ miles of hiking trails. Open every day from dawn to dusk

Nature Center Hours:

Sunday-Monday CLOSED

Tuesday – Friday 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Habitats: The preserve offers a rare glimpse of “the real Florida” - a place where the past and the present come alive in the canopy of the floodplain forest, the scrub and pine flatwoods and in the primordial swamps and wetlands.

Commonly seen wildlife: Gopher tortoises, wading birds, butterflies and sandhill cranes.
