NACo Prescription Discount Card Program
Did you know?
Approximately 43.6 million Americans are without prescription coverage according to the 2002 U.S. Census. Another study conducted by Families USA found that over 80 million Americans did not have health insurance for all or part of 2002 and 2003. USA Families further discovered that approximately 26.3 million of these uninsured individuals were under the age of 65.
The St. Lucie County Prescription Discount Card Program in partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACo).
The NACo program provides participating county residents with the following:
- Average savings of 20% compared to regular retail prices.
- Average savings of 14% off brand name medicine and an average savings of 34% off generic medicine compared to regular retail prices.
- Average savings of 20 % and an average savings of 50% on select generics through mail service.
The Cards are being distributed at most County facilities, including the Libraries. Participating Pharmacies also have them available for distribution. The card is provided free of charge by the County. No registration is required and the card can be used immediately.

This program is designed for Prescription discount cards benefit individuals who are uninsured or underinsured and who take prescription drugs regularly. There is NO fee to get the card.
