District 5: Chris Craft

Commissioner Chris CraftCommissioner Chris Craft, born May 7, 1973, is a resident of Lakewood Park and native of St. Lucie County.  He is a graduate of Ft. Pierce Westwood High School. He attended Indian River Community College.  Commissioner Craft is an active community member who participates in several downtown Fort Pierce organizations as well as volunteers for other countywide organizations. He is married to Patti and is the father of one daughter, Sydni. 

Commissioner Craft was sworn into office in 2004.  In 2007, he served as the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners.  He currently serves on the following committees: Court Facilities Space Needs Committee, Treasure Coast Workforce Consortium, Value Adjustment Board, Utility Regionalization Task Force, Treasure of Healthy Kids Board, Cultural Affairs Council, and the Treasure Coast Education Research Development Authority.

Commissioner Craft is the Chairman for St. Lucie County Erosion District, St. Lucie County Property & Homeowners Association Meetings, and the Public Safety Coordinating Council.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for Main Street Fort Pierce and St. Lucie Preservation Association. He previously chaired the Fort Pierce Centennial Celebration in 2001 and serves on several committees for Main Street Fort Pierce. Craft actively participates in the Fort Pierce Exchange Club CASTLE's Chili Cook Off.
