OMB was awarded, for two consecutive years, the Government Finance Officers "Distinguished Budget Presentation Award."

The Office of Management and Budget develops and oversees the implementation of the annual budget, develops the five-year capital improvement program, provides coordination for grants management, and conducts budget and management analysis.

In fiscal year 2000, OMB managed a $261 million budget, handling 79 budget amendments and 2,556 line item transfers in the process. The Office coordinated the management of 110 active grants, totaling more than $20,711, 645.00. OMB concurrently pursued the continuous improvement of budget procedures, documents and reports, and the development of improved communication and coordination with staff support offices, and the departments.
