The Oxbow Eco-Center is giving you another opportunity to test your Hawkeye or Katniss skills with Explore Archery on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

People across the nation are catching archery fever because of its strength and confidence building qualities, it’s also great for developing leadership skills in both youth and adults.

The Explore Archery Program, a collaboration from USA Archery and the Archery Trade Association is designed to introduce beginners of all ages and abilities to the lifelong sport of archery. The Oxbow proudly supports the goal of Explore Archery: to serve as a foundation for the development of community based archery programs nationwide.

Instruction will include an outdoor classroom session and range time.  Please bring a bagged lunch or snack, water bottle, closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing for Florida weather. This program is geared toward ages 10 and older; however, participants under the age of 15 must have a legal guardian present. The cost is $10 per person for anyone planning to participate on the range (shoot bows). Reservation required; please call 772-785-5833 or email cartmille@stlucieco.org by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14 to register.
