St. Lucie County Housing Finance Authority (HFA) Developers Request for Local Government Contribution

The St. Lucie County Housing Finance Authority (HFA) is accepting requests from developers for a local government contribution in the form of a zero-percent interest deferred loan in the amount of $20,000 to be forgiven after a period of 15 years. This local government contribution is meant to satisfy the requirements outlined in RFA-2017-111 Housing Credit Financing for Affordable Housing Development Located in Medium and Small Counties issued by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC).

All requests to the St. Lucie County HFA will be due no later than Monday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. in the form of a dated and signed cover letter on company letterhead, along with the Local Government Verification of Contribution-Loan Form, a location map, description and visual rendering depicting the project. Requests should be submitted to: St. Lucie County Community Services Office - Attention: HFA Local Contribution Request, 437 N. 7th St., Fort Pierce, Fla. 34950

The St. Lucie County HFA will issue a maximum of no more than three commitments for local government contribution during the RFA open period. Should more than three requests be submitted, the board will review and determine which three shall receive a commitment. Notification of selection shall be issued no later than Friday, Nov. 10.
