Environmental Ethics; Live Green and Prosper

  • Date: -
  • Location: Oxbow Eco-Center
    5400 NE St. James Drive
    Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983
  • Introduction: Through interpretive hikes and presentations this course will teach you the simple choices you can make to reduce your carbon footprint and live an environmentally ethical lifestyle, while enjoying the natural world to its full potential.

Friday March 2nd 6:00pm – 8:30pm

Saturday, March 3rd – 9am – 3:00pm

The final Oxbow Naturalist course will focus on how human actions can negatively impact the environment and solutions to minimize these impacts.  Reducing our negative influence on the environment benefits people as well.  Just think of the blissful cheer you get when walking along a pristine wooded path with rays of sun filtering down on you.  This is not the feeling you get when walking along a trash ridden path with dog feces wafting in your nose, is it?   Healthy environments have serious physical and mental health benefits for many people in many different situations.  Through interpretive hikes and presentations this course will teach you the simple choices you can make to reduce your carbon footprint and live an environmentally ethical lifestyle, while enjoying the natural world to its full potential.

$30.00 for one course or take the whole Oxbow Naturalist series for $100. Free for registered Oxbow volunteers. Ages 15 and up.
