District 1: Chris Dzadovsky
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Commissioner Chris Dzadovsky first visited St. Lucie County in 1994, and became a permanent resident in 2003.
His career experience includes owning his own businesses, being a volunteer firefighter, and 23 years as an airline safety professional for US Airways. In his later years with the airline, he became the Communications Director, Legislative Affairs Chair, and worked as a lobbyist for the Association of Flight Attendants - CWA.
After permanently relocating to St. Lucie County, he attended IRSC, earning a degree in Applied Science for Business, and is nearing completion of a second degree in Political Science.
Since becoming a St. Lucie County resident, Commissioner Dzadovsky has been involved in many community activities as the Fort Pierce Hibiscus Park Crime Watch & Neighborhood Association (Former President), the Hibiscus Park National Night Out program, and the ''Stem the Violence'' conference in Lincoln Park.
Commissioner Dzadovsky developed the Hibiscus Park Neighborhood Enhancement Action Team (N.E.A.T.), and gained $350,000 from the City of Fort Pierce for capital improvements commitment to Hibiscus Park. Chris assisted the Lincoln Park Business Association and helped initialize the development of Lincoln Park Main Street committee.
He was the Interim Director of the Fort Pierce Jazz & Blues Society and was named the Exchangite of the Year in 2007 for his work with the Fort Pierce Exchange Club. In 2012, he earned the Outstanding Green Elected Official Award from the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) South Florida Chapter.
Prior to his election in 2008, Commissioner Dzadovsky has served on the Fort Pierce Code Enforcement Board, St. Lucie County Skate Park Committee and the St. Lucie County Citizens Budget Committee.
